Woodwork

Construction of a maple stool was one of the fundamental stepping stones in my design education. It taught me to have an elegance through craft in a way that with precision, skill and patience you can turn out a beautiful piece of furniture that comes together perfectly.

Using similar joinery methods, my roommate and I made a beautifully simple dining table for our apartment out of some reclaimed cherry wood from his hometown. We incorporated breadboard ends with a floating mortise and tenon to the table to help control warping and allow for growth and shrinkage with changes in humidity.

Attention to detail and refinement of design is a skill that comes naturally to myself, I take pride in what I do and want my work to reflect these qualities. I seek to find elegant solutions to deliver a refined product in the end.
